Reading Light is a vertical wall-sized projection of a floor to ceiling bookshelf. Within the books and between the projected shelves are animated dioramas, featuring close-ups and freely shifting views between times and neighborhoods.

This project was built from photos taken on walks all over Brooklyn, combined with drawings, paintings and computer generated lights, cameras and animation. Art & animation by Molly Schwartz

In spring 2007 Reading light was projected as a site-specific public video installation in the Lobby Gallery of the Brooklyn Central Library.
